Can dogs eat pork lungs?

Dogs can eat pig lungs, which contain protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron, niacin, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, etc., which are good for dogs. However, because pig lungs are a filter system that is prone to heavy metals, long-term consumption by dogs may cause a burden on the dog's body. It is generally recommended to feed them about once a week.

Pig lungs contain a lot of protein. It is generally recommended that the owner cook them with plain water before feeding them. The main reason is that the lungs may contain parasites or germs such as lungfilaria. Raw food may cause the dog to be infected with parasites or germs, which in turn causes disease. In addition, do not add any flavoring, otherwise it may cause a burden on the dog's gastrointestinal tract and kidneys.

Meat that dogs cannot eat:

1. Animal fat, fried food, leftover soup: excess fat can lead to pancreatitis.    

2. Sharp bones that can pierce the stomach and intestines: For example, some bones that will break, such as chicken bones, will pierce the dog's throat or cut the dog's mouth, esophagus, stomach or intestines. Therefore, if you want to feed bones, you should boil them in a pressure cooker. Bone marrow is an excellent source of calcium, phosphorus, and copper. Eating big bones can help remove tartar.   

3. Raw or cooked liver: A small amount of liver is fine for dogs, but too much can cause problems. Because the liver contains a lot of vitamin A, it can cause vitamin A poisoning. 

4. Raw meat and poultry: The dog's immune system cannot adapt to artificially raised poultry and meat. The most common species of Salmonella and Bacillus are very dangerous to dogs. And often feeding raw meat will arouse the dog's primitive instinct, and then promote aggression.    

5. Pork: The fat globules in pork are larger than other meats, which may block the microvessels of dogs. Avoid pork products, especially bacon that contains sodium nitrate.
