Treatment for pseudorabies:

1. Early application of anti-pseudorabies hyperimmune serum or gamma immunoglobulin prepared from it to treat sick dogs, and the dosage should refer to the instruction manual, which will have a better effect. If neurological symptoms have already appeared, the effect is not good. Various antibiotics and chemical treatment were ineffective.

2. If the high fever persists, Analgin and Ampicillin can be used for intramuscular injection, once a day, for 3-5 consecutive days. Or intramuscular injection of ampicillin 0.5g, combined with compound aminopyrine 2mL, 1 time/day, for 2 to 3 consecutive days.

3. For severe asthma, anti-asthma drugs such as ephedrine can be used for treatment.

Preventive measures for pseudorabies:

1. Eliminate the rats in the kennel and prevent the dogs from entering the pigsty, especially when pseudorabies occurs in the pigs, and it is strictly forbidden to feed the dogs with sick pork.

2. If the disease has occurred, strictly use 1%-2% sodium hydroxide solution to disinfect the ground and utensils. At present, there is no suitable vaccine available. Tissue culture seedlings of K strain with low virulence and stable heredity can be tried, or chicken embryo cell aluminum hydroxide formalin vaccine.

3. It has been reported that pseudorabies can infect humans, manifested as itchy skin. Therefore, when there is trauma, wound infection should be prevented during handling of sick dogs or corpses.
