How to vaccinate your dog

When to vaccinate your dog:

1. Dogs can be vaccinated against kennel cough about one month after birth.

2. After the dog is 7-8 weeks old, the first six-vaccination injection can be given.

3. After 11-12 weeks of birth, the dog can receive the second six-vaccination injection.

4. After 14-15 weeks of birth, the dog can be injected with the third six-in-one vaccine and vaccinated against rabies.

5. After all the vaccines for the first immunization are vaccinated, the owner only needs to take the dog to get a shot of six-in-one vaccine and a shot of rabies vaccine every 11 months.

Precautions for dog vaccination:

1. If it is a dog that has just been brought home, it is recommended to feed and observe it at home for about 10 days, and then take it for vaccination if it is healthy.    

2. Before the vaccination, the dog needs to be taken to the pet hospital for a physical examination, mainly for mental state examination, infectious disease screening and temperature measurement. If any item fails, the dog cannot be vaccinated.

3. Pay attention to feeding after the dog is vaccinated. Generally, the dog will have some loss of appetite after being vaccinated. During this period, do not force the dog to eat. You should give the dog time to adjust and recover slowly, and do not feed too greasy at this time food.

4. The dog vaccination time should be staggered with the deworming time.

5. Pay attention to observation after the dog is vaccinated. Dogs may experience fever, poor spirits, loss of appetite, lethargy, etc. after vaccination. These are normal reactions and usually recover on their own within 1-3 days. If it exceeds three days, you should immediately contact your doctor for consultation.
