How to distinguish purebred Maltese dogs:

1. Height and weight characteristics. Purebred Maltese dogs have strict requirements on height and weight. Adult purebred Maltese dogs are generally 20-25 cm in height and 2.2-2.7 kg in weight. It is an impure Maltese dog.

2. Facial features. The purebred Maltese dog has a rounded head, relatively drooping ears, and the ear position is relatively low. The distance between the eyes is relatively wide, the color of the eyes is also relatively dark, and the surroundings of the eyes are also black. The nose must be black, the teeth must be in a occlusal shape, and there must be no overshoot.

3. Limbs. Purebred Maltese dogs have shorter forelimbs and relatively thinner limbs, while the hind limbs appear stronger and well-developed muscles. The feet are relatively round with black toes. If the toes of Maltese dogs are not black, it belongs to impure Maltese dogs.

4. Hair characteristics. The hair color of the purebred Maltese dog is pure white, and the hair is very straight and drooping. If it is curly, it belongs to the impure Maltese dog.

5. Gait characteristics. Purebred Maltese dogs have obvious characteristics in walking, with light gait, uniform steps, stable and smooth, and powerful legs. Purebred Maltese dogs have rich bones. If the bones are relatively small, they are basically hybrid dogs.
