Causes of Fleas in Dogs

1. No regular deworming

Dogs need to be dewormed regularly for their health. Puppies need to be dewormed for the first time when they are about 25-30 days old, and then once a month until they are half a year old. From the time the dog is half a year old, deworming is scheduled every three months. Dogs are very susceptible to fleas if they are not dewormed regularly.

2. Not bathing regularly

Dogs also need to bathe regularly in order to keep their bodies clean. If the dog has not bathed for a long time to clean, it is very easy to hide parasites. It is best for dogs to take a bath once a week or two. Use dog-specific shampoo to help keep the dog's skin healthy.

3. Drill grass and mud

Dogs can get fleas when they play on grass, mud, or come into contact with other small animals. In summer, the parasites in the grass and mud become more active, and dogs are very susceptible to infection when they travel through the grass. Even if dogs stay at home, they may be infected with parasites. People will also act as carriers, bringing parasites and their eggs home through clothes and shoes, and indirectly infect dogs.

The solution to dog fleas

1. Fleas are common ectoparasitic infections in dogs. Commonly used in vitro deworming drugs include selamectin, fepronil, and moxicodin.

2. The difference is that the dose and frequency of treatment and prophylaxis during infection are different. The treatment needs to be applied every one to two weeks until the dog is fully healed, usually two to three weeks. 3. When treating fleas, it is also necessary to kill the fleas in the dog's living environment, so as to avoid the occurrence of flea infection.

4. Fleas are the intermediate hosts of internal parasitic tapeworms. After fleas are infected, tapeworm infection is likely to exist. Therefore, it is recommended to deworm the body at the same time.
