Symptoms of pesticide poisoning in dogs include vomiting, diarrhea, foaming at the mouth, salivation, loss of appetite, listlessness, pale visible mucous membranes, and convulsions. However, due to the different types and mechanisms of action of pesticides, the symptoms of dog poisoning are also different. Therefore, it is recommended that when a dog is found to be poisoned, take measures such as vomiting and enema in time, and send it to the hospital for treatment in time.

The solution to dog poisoning

1. Emetic: Emetic drugs can be used, and the effect is good in a short period of time after the poison is ingested. When the poison has been ingested for more than 4 hours and most of the poison has entered the duodenum, the emetic drug cannot be used.

2. Gastric lavage: Gastric lavage is used when the emetic cannot be induced or the effect is not effective after the emesis is induced. The amount of 5-10 ml per kilogram of body weight is used for repeated flushing. Warm salt water, warm boiled water, strong tea, etc. are often used.

3. Diarrhea: Diarrhea is another way to promote the discharge of toxins in the gastrointestinal tract. After eating poisonous food for more than 2-3 hours, the mental state is still good, and laxatives can be taken to promote the expulsion of poisonous food as soon as possible. Be careful not to use vegetable oil when taking laxative measures. When the intestinal content is basically exhausted, antidiarrheal drugs can be used, such as atropine sulfate, 0.3-1 mg per dog, kg body weight, subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.

4. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory: In order to prevent the bacteria in the intestine from continuing to grow and reproduce and produce toxins, broad-spectrum antibiotics should be taken orally, such as gentamicin, chloramphenicol or tetracycline.

5. Anti-shock: In order to prevent shock in dogs, corticosteroids can be applied, such as intramuscular injection of dexamethasone, 0.25-1 mg each time, or prednisone, prednisolone and other drugs.
